Check in with our Travel Medical Clinic to ensure a healthy trip

Whenever you're travelling outside of Canada it's always wise to ensure you have the necessary immunizations, medications and supplies for your destination. Travelling to tropical climates and remote locales comes with a risk of exposure to serious diseases and illnesses that can be prevented by preparation ahead of time.

Make your appointment as early as possible before you travel

Book your appointment as early as possible before your trip. We highly recommend a MINIMUM of 14 days before you depart or as soon as you know you will be travelling to ensure that you get the immunizations and information you need. Some immunization schedules can take 3 to 8 weeks, requiring advanced planning.

Children and Adolescents

If travelling with young children or infants, you may need to arrange for an accelerated immunization schedule. If required we can coordinate with your family doctor to ensure your children's vaccination records are properly updated to an alternate schedule.

Be prepared for legally required immunizations

For entry into certain countries you may require proof of immunization for specific diseases. For example; the meningococcal vaccination is required for travelling to Mecca, Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj, as well as for certain school admissions. Proof of immunization for yellow fever is required in certain areas of Africa and South America. If you don't carry an up-to-date copy of your immunization record, your trip could end before it even begins. Our Travel Health Professionals stay up-to-date and will ensure that you have the required records.
